Invitation to Parents, Clubbers, and Friends,

     As the AWANA Commanders for North Palm Baptist Church, we would like to welcome you and your child to experience the wonderful joy that is AWANA. We meet on Friday evenings at 6:45pm - 8:15pm from August to May. Through AWANA we minister to children from age 3 through 12th grade.

    AWANA is all about training kids for Christ. This is accomplished in a way that is both fun and challenging for both children and adults. It is done through a variety of activities which include exciting games, council time messages, team competitions, and Bible memorization. However, the cornerstone of AWANA is the memorization of Bible verses. Clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress through their handbooks. This helps them to have a solid understanding of God and His unconditional love for us, at a very early age. My staff of leaders provide a very clear, consistent presentation of the Gospel in a caring, committed way.

    As a church, we know the importance of having a good children’s ministry. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” That should be at the heart of every church looking for the Will of God. Part of AWANA’s pledge is “train them (children) to serve Him” this should be what we teach our children and ultimately should be the goal of every good believer. We should ALL be looking for a way to serve our Lord.

    During the club year, we have many activities such as the Sailboat Races, AWANA Grand Prix, AWANA Games, Bible Quiz, theme nights, and much more. These are all meant to keep the clubbers coming back.

    It is a great pleasure and a personal blessing for us to serve the Lord and work with your children. We hope that you will bring your children and join us in the work and the blessings. If you haven’t yet found a church home, we would like to invite you to come and visit some of our church’s other wonderful activities.
